I’m a big believer in the hat - except at the Melbourne Cup. I wear hats just about every day. In fact, I tend to plan my outfit around the hat.
I love your hat. Wish I had one like that. I have to wear hats cause im so fair skinned, I burn so quick. I love hats with a wide brim.
I have no intention of going anywhere near the Melbourne Cup anytime soon, but I do need a shady (as in providing shade, not looking suspicious) hat for summer that isn’t a baseball cap or a giant-brimmed one, or a bucket hat… it’s so hard to find good hats… then again, it’s such fun shopping.
I think if you want to wear a bucket hat to the Melbourne Cup it’s a good idea to decorate it a lot… that’d be half the fun.
‘cacophony’ what hat? what outfit? and which races you are going everyday? interested …
hi ‘littlemiss’ try julie fleming hats www.juliefleming.com.au/ or girls (and some boys) look for other makers and vendors www.streetsofmelbourne.com.au/melbourne/m/millinery.htm

Youngatheart, i checked out those sites you sugested. Some very beautiful hats on them. Thanks heaps, I wish I was creative enough to make my own hats, like some of the ones on Julies site.
I LOVE HATS!!!
There are some great milliners on Etsy if you want to check those out, here’s one who does pretty cute hats: www.mchats.etsy.com
